GATX (NYSE:GATX) reported quarterly earnings of $2.10 per share which missed the analyst consensus estimate of $2.32 by 9.56 percent. This is a 16 percent decrease over earnings of $2.50 per share from the same period last year. The company reported quarterly sales of $439.300 million which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $435.781 million by 0.81 percent. This is a 8.36 percent increase over sales of $405.400 million the same period last year.
