Elon Musk Hates 'Annoying' Instagram Logo That Pops Up In Reels Posted On X: 'Makes Things Worse'

Tech billionaire and X owner Elon Musk really does not like Instagram Reels posted on his social media platform because of the "annoying" logo in the videos.

What Happened: Musk expressed his dislike for Instagram yet again, reacting to a reel posted by a user on X, formerly Twitter.

"That annoying Instagram logo keeps popping up in videos. Makes things worse."

Musk is referring to the Instagram logo watermark that appears on downloaded Reels, alongside the name of the user to whom the video belongs.

He finds it annoying and thinks it is a distraction, however, it's not unique to Instagram. TikTok allows users to download videos and watermark them just like Instagram, which makes Musk's reaction a little interesting.

Not The First Time: It's not the first time Musk has taken a potshot on Instagram. Earlier in December, he reacted to a report that said more than a million people search for "How to delete (my) Instagram account" each month in 2023.

The same report ranked X in the third place for this search query, while another Meta app, Facebook, was ranked fifth.

Last year, he also likened Instagram to OnlyFans, amping up his rivalry against Meta Platforms Inc. co-founder Mark Zuckerberg.

Musk has also been a vocal critic of advertisers on Instagram, clapping back at them after a report said the social media platform's algorithms serve "risqué" footage of kids.

How To Download Instagram Reels: Instagram recently added the ability to download Reels, allowing users to share them on other apps.

To do so, open the Reel you want to download and tap the "Share" button. If the account's owner has enabled downloads, you will see a "Download" button. Just tap on it and the Reel will be saved on your phone's internal storage.
