Novartis (NYSE:NVS) reported quarterly earnings of $1.80 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $1.67 by 7.78 percent. This is a 16.88 percent increase over earnings of $1.54 per share from the same period last year. The company reported quarterly sales of $11.829 billion which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $11.433 billion by 3.46 percent. This is a 8.68 percent decrease over sales of $12.953 billion the same period last year.
