Benzinga Pro's Top 5 Stocks To Watch For Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022: DWAC, CFVI, AMC, IMAX, CVS

Author: Benzinga Newsdesk | September 06, 2022 08:56am
  • Digital World Acquisition (DWAC) – A SPAC that was set to take Donald Trump’s company public failed to gather enough votes for an extension on the deal according to reports. Without the extension, the SPAC could have until March to complete the deal for Trump Media & Technology Group or face liquidation.
  • CF Acquisition Corp VI (CFVI) – A potential sympathy play to Digital World Acquisition could be CFVI, which is set to take Rumble public. Rumble is a free speech video platform that has attracted some of the same targeted users as Trump Media & Technology Group. The SPAC could see money flow in from former DWAC shareholders.
  • AMC Entertainment Holdings (AMC) – Movie theater company AMC welcomed 1.6 million people to its locations on Saturday as part of National Cinema Day, a new promotion offering $3 tickets. The Labor Day weekend saw the highest number of people go to movie theaters of 2022.
  • IMAX Corporation (IMAX) – Large screen and premium movie format company IMAX could be a winner from the National Cinema Day promotion. The company was part of the $3 tickets for many movie theater locations nationwide over what is typically one of the slower weekends of the year. The company also welcomed 1975 film “Jaws” to its screens for the first time over the weekend.
  • CVS Health (CVS) – Pharmacy and healthcare company CVS confirmed it is acquiring Signify Health (SGFY) for $8 billion. The deal will give CVS ownership of a Health Risk Assessment company with access to over 10,000 clinicians nationwide. CVS beat out rumored interest from UnitedHealth (UNH) and Amazon.com (AMZN) to acquire the company. The deal diversifies CVS further into the non-pharmaceutical healthcare space.
